Medtronic, bio-medical company, and the first manufacturer of the pacemaker has made Fridley their world headquarters for the past 20 years. Target Corporation, Onan, Mc Glynn's Bakey Inc. and United Defense are all major employers.
Housing Overview
The majority of residential home building was underway in the late 50's and
continued throughout the 1960's and into the 1970's. To date there are still
small pockets of upper-bracket homes being developed.
