Edina

The city of Edina began as a village of mostly Scottish and Irish immigrants. Today, Edina is a full-service metropolitan community, consisting mainly of residential areas. Residents of Edina enjoy 37 parks, lakes, neighborhoods and regional shopping districts, high quality medical facilities, family-owned business and major corporations, churches and community centers.

Edina is located approximately nine miles south of the city of Minneapolis, north of highway 494 and just west of 35W.

Braemer Golf Course has been rated among the top 75 public golf courses in the nation. The course, at 6364 John Harris Drive, features a 27-hole regulation course, nine hole executive course, pro shop, driving range, practice putting green, indoor golf dome, banquet and meeting rooms and other facilities.

The Edina Aquatic Center offers water fun for swimmers of all ages. The children's pool features a play structure with an enclosed slide and other activities. The main pool boasts a 215-foot twisting flume that enters the main pool in the shallow end.
