With their close proximity to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and over 25 hotels totalling 6,200 sleeping rooms, Bloomington and Richfield are havens for travellers. In fact, Bloomington is also known as the "City of Hospitality." Combine this with many shopping and recreation facilities, as well as easy access to the metropolitan areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul., and you'll see why Richfield and East Bloomington are also very desirable areas to live in.

One of Bloomington's most well known attractions is the massive Mall of America - the nation's largest shopping and entertainment complex. The 4.2 million square foot, fully enclosed structure is anchored by some of the country's finest retailers, including Bloomingdales, Macy's, Nordstrom and Sears, plus over 400 specialty shops. Kids need not fear a day of shopping at the mall; Knott's Camp Snoopy, a seven acre enclosed theme park, and Underwater World provide fun for the whole family!
The Decathlon Hotel & Athletic Club is a familiar landmark in East Bloomington. Since it opened in 1968, this private club has offered accommodations and workout facilities

Golfer will feel right at home in Richfield and east Bloomington. Both communities offer several courses with a variety of features to keep golfers "on course."

Rich Acres is a city (Richfield) operated course that features an 18 hole regulation course, a par three 9-hole course and driving range. Teaching programs are available for all ages - as well as cross-country skiing in the winter.

The Richfield Pool and Waterslide is located in Veteran's Memorial Park. The 50 meter pool features a 29 ft. high double waterslide, one and three meter diving boards, large wading pool, water volleyball, adult lap swim lanes, picnic and concession stands. The pool is open early June through August.
