The Package The Homework
Your "Homework"
To get started, we need information to custom-write your pages. Getting started with a web site requires a bit of homework to make it YOURS. We do NOT require perfect sentences or spelling. What we need is Information. Either send us an e-mail with the following info or make notes on a sheet of paper for each topic:
Topic Sheet 1: Your Professional History: This is like your resume with other things thrown in. Just give us the info, we will format and write: Educational history, Degrees, Previous work experience, Special Coursework, Seminars, Continuing Ed, Professional Committees, Directorships, Local Offices, Local Organizations such as Chamber or Lions, Prof. Designations, Sales Awards, "Clubs", Statistics, Honors, Etc. Just go thru the list and jot down any and all related items.
Topic Sheet 2: Your Personal Profile: Here you want to tell about the "off duty" and personal side: Family, pasttimes, interests, hobbies, favorite activities, kids activities, volunteer stuff, charity, church, crafts, arts, vacation home or travel, pets. etc.
Topic Sheet 3: Your Presentation: This is info for your main page. We suggest you jot down the 2-4 main types of clients or specializations that you do, such as a specific neighborhood or location. Other ideas might be: Senior housing, Condo-Townhome, Move-Up, Move-down, Empty-Nest, Upper-Bracket, Waterfront, Teachers, Nurses, Military, etc. Once you have selected the main areas - try to come up with a couple of good points to demonstrate your "fit"to that niche. Also include on this page any slogans, taglines, or phrases you have used or like to use for marketing. Tell us any unique or "logo" specific information you might like too.
